Dan Haren has signed a one year deal worth $10 million with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He will round out the stunning rotation that consists of Kershaw, Greinke, Ryu, Beckett, and now Haren, but he pitched to a 4.67 ERA, the worst of his career, last season. The previous All-Star is making people wonder where all the talent went. Haren struggled with home runs that are killing his value; his xFIP was only 3.67 last year. For a back-end starter, Haren could turn out to be a pleasant surprise and pitch like used to; however, he could continue his downward spiral. Entering his age 33 season, Haren should be able to pitch well if he can keep his home run rate down. Expect Haren to perform better than the recent past considering that he pitched slightly faster last season.
Fantasy Impact - Haren will presumably go un-drafted and end up a good free agent pickup if the need arises. He can fill-in for injured players and could be a potential match-up pitcher versus Arizona or San Francisco; his career ERA is 2.81 and 3.05, respectively.
Predictions - 12-9, 180 IP, 195 H, 83 ER, 30 BB, 165 K (4.15 ERA, 1.25 WHIP)
